Another Snowstorm, Portland, Maine 3/22/24

the snow comes down in big fat clumps.

she falls from before dawn

until well past afternoon.

we stay warm up inside,

except for a quick run

through the fluff

to corner bakery

for sweets & savories.

Mama feeds Mäds from her breast,

morning noon & night,

while Papa runs laundry,

spins smoothies,

washes dishes,

collects Chinese delivery & mail.

new records for mom,

she got from our New York shop.

watching the snow pile up in drifts of sugar.

hear the cars whish & whoosh through her sour
